She was halfway through her eigth grade year when her father got drafted into the army and her family had to move. She was really upset and only made a few friends at the different schools she attended. She let her grades slip for awhile, until her parents bought her a dog, named daisy, that she could keep as long as she kept her grades up. Arlequin's dad recently passed away after an accident during the training of some new recruits. Her mom has become depressed, so Arlequin helped her make arrangements to move back to her hometown. She is happy to be able to finish off her senior year in her old school and is hoping to reconnect with old friends. He smiled when he heard her laugh. He had made a girl laugh. He felt the blush begin to return to his cheeks but fought it. If his brother were here he would probably be calling him pathetic but Tanner was proud of himself. He wasnt making a complete fool of himself, or at least it didnt seem like it. "I dont think we really said anything to each other" He said with a small laugh. He had been even worse at talking to people during that time, though he wasnt sure how that was possible. He frowned when he smile dissappeared, instantly feeling bad and ebarrassed. "I shouldnt have brought them up. Im sorry" He said carefully. He knew how much everyone worried about them and he had just brought them up. He constantly worried that his twin or younger sister would be drawn. He had already decided that if his twins name was drawn then he would volunteer but there was nothing he would be able to do if his younger sister was drawn, and that scared him. He let her take his hand but he was watching her instead of where she was moving his hand. He noticed her blushing and felt his own blush creep back. He started watching his hands and hoped his blush would dissapear by the time she let go. When she let go he looked back up at her with a small smile. "Erm..thanks" he said. He watched as she looked around and turned so she was fully facing him and then turned to face her. He had a while longer to finish and he was cose to being finished anyways. "Ask away" He didnt think any question could be to personal, or maybe it could be. What if she asked him something really awkward? no, she wouldnt, she didnt seem like the type who would ask him something extremely embarrassing about himself. .[/style] [/style][/style] |
