It was a beautiful Saturday morning, and the sunlight came streaming through the slats in the blinds, and warmed Leia's face. She stirred awake and her eyes fluttered open, her brain telling her to get up. She glanced at the clock. 9:30. Leia sat up slowly and stretched slowly, reaching her hands up towards the ceiling. She swung her legs over the left side of the bed, and placed her feet on the wood floor. She stood up slowly and stretched her legs, making sure she didn't pull her muscles. The studio would be closed today, so he'd have to do her barre work with the footboard on her bed; it was just the right height for it, but it wasn't exactly ideal. She had tried, without success, to convince her parents to install a barre in the basement. She went into the bathroom, put on leggings and a loose tank top, and did her hair in her usual ballerina bun. She slipped her dancing shoes on and walked back into her room, tossing her pajamas in the laundry basket in the corner of her room. She turned on her stereo, and her warm-up CD started to play, the classical music filling the room. She began her warm-up, and her muscles slowly untightened, and she fell into her usual graceful plies and even did some pointe work. Leia fell into her zone, and she blocked out the rest of the world. Her concentration was broken, however, when there was a knock on the door. It annoyed her slightly, but she kept her cool and kept doing her barre work. "Come in." She said, as she lowered herself into another plie.

Luke looked around as he climbed out of his car. He visited home at least once a week and had decided that today would be his visit. He wearing jeans and a white t-shirt, since he didnt think his parents had anything important going on for the day. He shut his car door and entered the house, using his own key to get in. He went straight to the fridge and got himself a soda and then proceeded to make himself a ginormous sandwich.
He took a bite of his sandwich and then made his way up to Leia's room. He knocked and then entered, instantly going to her bed and flopping down on it with a grunt. "Why are you listening to this boring music" He said half-joking, half- annoyed, with his mouth full of food. He held out his sandwhich to his sister so she could take a bite if she wanted. He really wasnt in the best mood, after his last conversation with Vara and he hoped that his sister would be able to tell so that he could talk to someone about it.
"How are you doing, princess?" He said after a moment, still lounging comfortably in her bed and watching her. "If you want to learn to dance like a pro..I could totally give you lessons" He said, with a small snicker. He wasnt the best dancer in the world but he still found it amusing to attempt to dance, especially when he was singing along to some sort of music.

"Hello, Luke." Leia said with a smile as she raised herself from her plie. She continued her barre work as if she were uninterrupted; she would hug her brother properly when she was finished. She rolled her eyes at his comment about her music, and the fact that his mouth was full of food, which was the usual case when he stopped by. The song that was currently playing was a gorgeous instrumental piece from the movie Amelie, and she would not classify it as boring in the slightest. "It's not boring music. You're just horribly uncultured." She said, teasingly. This was much more appealing to Leia than the stuff that Luke often listened to. She also sensed that his mood wasn't as good as it usually was. Perhaps he had something he wanted to talk about? He could wait; Leia desperately wanted to finish her barre work. Luke offered her his sandwich, and her nose wrinkled in disgust. She started her battements, and tried to take her mind off of the fact that her stomach hadn't been properly full in a few weeks. Her dance studio was preparing for the auditions for Swan Lake, and she was obsessing over her upcoming audition for the coveted role of Odette. Wanting to be on the lighter side for any potential lifts with a partner, she turned to her eating disorder to help achieve her goal. She wasn't overweight in the slightest, but seeing some of the other dancers in her studio, particularly the 12-14 year-olds, she desperately wanted to be lighter and thinner. No one, not even Lucas, knew that she was bulimic, and she intended to keep it that way. "Dance lessons from you?" She asked, a sarcastic smile on her face. "I'd learn better dance moves from a drunken goose." She really was one of the best, if not THE best dancer in her studio, and she knew it. Luke was a good dancer, but he just didn't have the grace and elegance that Leia had. Ballet was a whole different ballgame than what he did. "And if you must know, I'm doing fine. Nothing too spectacular on my end of things." She continued to dance, feeling her brother's eyes watching her. She loved to have an audience, even if it was just her uncultured, overprotective brother.

Luke lounged back on her bed and watched her before sticking his tongue out. "I am not uncultured!" He protested, with fake anger before flashing her a goofy grin. He stuck his tongue out again when she refused to take the sandwhich. He was almost tempted to make her take a bite, just to show her how good he was at making sandwiches. He thought about it for a moment and then decided that it could wait until later.
He tried to act hurt at the drunken goose comment but ended up smiling. "So what ballet are you guys doing this year?" He was determined to go, as usual. It was fun to watch her dance, even though ballet wasn't his type of thing. After growing up with her loving it and it being the reason he met Vara, he couldnt't really hate it.
"So...I proposed to Vara" He said hesitantly. He was being serious. He gave her his best serious face to show that he wasn't kidding at all. She was the one person he knew that he could talk to about it, even though he had gotten a no for an answer, which really upset him. He didnt really understand it and maybe Leia would be able to help him understand why. He took another bite of his sandwich and stared at his feet with a sigh. He didnt like being this serious. Luke thought for a moment and then went so he was standing right next to his little sister, and then began attempting to do the same thing she was.

Leia flashed Luke one of those looks that said: "you're full of shit", and the song changed to Claire De Lune. She lowered herself into another plie, and then brought herself back up. "Alright. If you're so cultured, what song is this, and who composed it?" She went back to her battemants, waiting for his answer.
He stuck his tongue out at her when she refused his sandwich, and he kept on eating it. The smell of it was driving her crazy, but she mentally reminded herself of Swan Lake, and how skinny she wanted to be for it. "We're doing Swan Lake this year. Your girlfriend danced the lead in it a few years ago." Leia had a brief flashback of how jealous she was of Vara when she got the role of Odette. She almost hated the girl, and that was saying something.
"So...I proposed to Vara." Luke said, hesitating as he spoke. Leia's foot slipped slightly, and she almost fell over, her face lighting up in shock. "You did?!" She asked excitedly. She loved the idea of having Vara as her sister-in-law, and she excitedly thought of how she'd look in a bridesmaid's dress. Like a walrus, that's how. But, the way that Luke looked about the whole situation spoke volumes to Leia. He was never this deathly serious around her, unless something was really bothering him, and it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the proposal had not ended well. "Didn't end well, eh? Well, she's an idiot for saying 'no'." She may have been close to Vara, but she would always take Lucas' side, no matter what. That was what blood relatives did.
Luke stood up and joined Leia at the "barre" and attempted to mimic her barre work. She turned her feet outwards, crossed them, and lowered herself into a plie. She repeated this twice, getting lower in the plie each time; when she got to the third plie, her butt was completely level with her knees. She watched, amused, as Luke tried and failed to accomplish this. "Oh Luke, you're about as graceful as Bambi on ice." Leia said with a smile and a laugh. It was rather amusing to watch him. "Loosen up a bit, brother. You'll never do a proper plie if you lock up your muscles."

He listened to the song and tried to identify it. He narrowed his eyes and then grinned. "The awesome song by Lucas James, I obviously know my own song" He let out a light laugh. Lucas knew nothing about ballet music. He was better at singing to songs that involved guitars. He attempted to hum along with the music, acting like he knew it.
"Oh! I remember that! You'll do amazing. you better get the main part though, or ill disown you" He smiled to show he was just kidding. He remembered watching the performance the first time. He hadn't been overly excited at the time an remembered that he had to be dragged to the performance by his parents, but now he attended all the shows on his own will, to show his support.
He frowned even more when she got all excited. At least he knew that his sister would be happy for him if he ever did get engaged to Vara. "She thought I was kidding about it at first" He complained, running a hand through his hair again and groaning. He really had planned it all ending up differently, and at the moment he didn't know what to say to his girlfriend when they talked, which was a first.
He stuck out his tongue with concentration as he tried to copy her. He grunted when his knees cracked. "I dint have to be graceful to be a signer" He replied and then continued to imitate her. "My muscles automatically lock up when I try to move like this. It's impossible!" He said over-dramatically.

Leia laughed slightly at her brother trying to sing along to the music. "Cultured, my ass." She said through giggles. Her barre work CD was almost over, and she knew she'd be done soon, then she could properly hang out out her brother.
"Oh, you'll disown me, will you?" She asked, her eyebrow raising inquisitively. "Last I checked, I was the only person who stood up for you against Mom and Dad." It was true; Leia would always take Lucas' side, no matter what the consequences. It was something she felt that little sisters had to do. "Or did you forget about the time you broke Mom's vase when we were little?" She would never let him forget the time that he accidentally broke their mother's vase she got from their father for her birthday. Leia took the blame for it so that Luke could go to a friend's birthday party that night, and she got punished for something she didn't do.
"No offense, but do you blame her?" Another little sister duty Leia felt like she had was to be brutally honest when she needed to be. "You're not exactly the most serious person in the world. How did you ask her? Did you tell her how much she meant to you? Did you have a ring? ...Please tell me you at least got down on one knee." Leia had been fantasizing about how her future husband would propose to her for the longest time, and she had visions of a man in a tuxedo, getting down on one knee after telling her how much he loved her, and then opening that ring box to show the most gorgeous ring in the world.
She kept laughing at her brother as he attempted to mimic her. The final song started playing, and she finished her barre work with the most strenuous of leg stretches. Her flexibility was apparent, and she could barely breathe from laughing at Luke's attempts. The CD stopped, and she grabbed some jeans and a pink shirt out of her dresser and changed into them. She couldn't care less if Luke was going to complain about her stripping down in front of him; they were siblings, for crying out loud. She sat on the bed next to Luke, and ripped the sandwich out of his hands, stealing a bite before handing it back. "You'll be happy to know that we're having your favorite for dinner tonight."
